Design Wall Monday

I put the small white border on this UFO this weekend. Now I am trying to decide if I want a pieced border on it, or if I want to consider it done. The pattern is from an older Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine. Even though I have the pages from the magazine, it doesn't indicate what issue it was in. It is called Little Pretties Quilt, and it was designed by Dianne Neumann. Check out more design walls at Judy L.'s blog.

Edited to add: Thanks for the feedback. I do think I will add a border to finish it off, but I am going to work on it in the spring.

  1. Oh Amy - it is really pretty! I am anxious to see an entire picture of it!

  2. Your quilt, and the fabrics in it suit the name very well. Little pretties, indeed.

  3. It needs a stopper border at least that is my opinion for what it is worth.

  4. Very pretty! I like the simple patchwork creating those secondary patterns, so effective and lively.

  5. This is a very pretty quilt. I think a pieced border would look terrific on it and really give it a nice finish. You do nice work!

  6. Hi Amy

I've just finished this quilt (and given it to my daughter for christmas) - it's been 2 1/2 years in the making! I put the pieced border on mine, after some deliberation and I'm glad I did. I think you will be, too.

    Regards, Sue
