Design Wall Monday

I finished my annual the-kids-are-back-in-school-I-miss-them quilt over the weekend. This quilt uses some of my older fabrics, and I copied a picture from a Lady's Circle Patchwork Quilt magazine that I had saved long ago. I really enjoy having my kids at home over the summer, and miss them when they go back to school, but I have to admit, I like the more structured days of fall too!     Love that pattern and the traditional colors. I pulled a few flimsies out to quilt them when mine went back to school, although a few piecing ideas are calling pretty strongly! Thanks for sharing.

    Great quilt! Love the colors. My kids are grown and gone so I get lots of quilting done when I miss them. I understand completely :)
